6. CADA Medical Chinese Curriculum at University of Maryland Medical School
At the request of Asian Pacific Medical Students Association (APMSA) at University of Maryland, CADA has developed a Medical Chinese Curriculum for the UM School of Medicine. This curriculum is designed to help the Chinese American Medical Students to learn the basic Medical Chinese and help them overcome the language barrier when seeing Chinese speaking patients. Dr. Mei Tang and Bill Gai have taken the leading role in this project and the first course has started in January, 2009. In addition, APMSA is partnering with CADA and will provide medical student volunteers in the AAHC volunteer clinic.
